How It Works

STEP #1
Sign up for our CA Non-Resident CCW course. Complete it online 24/7. Non-resident applicants do not need to travel to California to complete an in-person class. Upon course completion, you may download the certificate to submit with your application.

STEP #2
Submit your application online and scheduled a virtual Zoom interview with County Sheriff. We offer Concierge Application Services for an additional fee to make sure everything is submitted correctly. Pay the state processing fees.

STEP #3
Complete a live-fire qualification with the firearms you intend to carry and list on your permit. We can help locate an instructor at an approved partner training location near you (in your state). Then complete (2) physical fingerprint cards and mail those in for a background check.

STEP #4
Once everything has been submitted and completed, you must wait up to 120 days to be approved for your permit. Your permit will be mailed to you. The permit is valid for 2 years and may be renewed after that. You may complete an 8 hour renewal course online and re-qualify with the firearms you intend to carry.
